Metro Detroit Area Lions Clubs – Restaurant Discount Fundraising Cards

We are proud to have a Lions Restaurant Discount Card which focuses on the Wayne County Metro Area and the Macomb/Oakland County area. These cards offer Discounts at so many fine restaurants including many different types of fine ethnic dining choices. These cards can be used at the locations listed as well as at some of their other locations, which might also participate.

We use the sale our Lions Restaurant Discount Cards as a Charity Fundraiser for Detroit Area Lions Clubs. Whenever we use our Lions Logo or collect any money from the public, our Lions International Constitution demands “100% of all monies raised MUST go to Charity purposes Only.“ – There are to be NONE of these monies used for any administration uses or member benefits. All Club, District, Multiple District, and Lions Clubs International Administration is fully funded by our membership dues, (we pay to volunteer). Any Detroit Area Lions Club may participate in the sale of these cards (some of our charities also participate). Each Club is autonomous and decides how they distribute the Activity monies raised (with the restriction previously stated).

Local Clubs in addition to International, State and District Projects also help the community in many ways which might be providing assistance in feeding the hungry, building ramps, providing eye glasses or exams, hearing screening or hearing aids, Project KidSight Vision Screening for children and glasses if needed along with donating or helping at so many area Charities like ACCESS, Matrix, Seedlings Brail Books for Children, Maggie’s Wigs for Kids of Michigan, Madonna University/Lions Hearing Program plus so many more. This has been being done since 1917 and started here in the Detroit area in 1920, so we are always looking for the most effective ways to help the Community and to do this we need volunteers, members and fundraising opportunities.
